From a pool of about 12,000 applicants... Stein has beaten the odds and landed himself in the final rounds of the show’s competition.

Spielberg, in which he wrote and directed a new short film every 5 days. Adam directed for ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live from 2011-2013. And in 2014, he directed 46 digital episodes for Google, The Walking Dead, and Maker Studios, including the popular “Nerd Court” comedy series.


Adam’s writing has been recognized by an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Prize and the Humanitas Prize for New Voices. He’s created commercials and videos for companies like Lexus, Ford, Red Bull, Proctor & Gamble, HP, Intuit, Sports Illustrated, and Universal Studios.


Before all this, Adam worked as an editor for independent feature films that played at Sundance, Tribeca, and SXSW, getting to work with great people like Miguel Arteta, Mike White, Miranda July, Kristin Bell, Zooey Deschanel, Anna Paquin, Michael Lehmann, and Gary Winick.


He graduated from Harvard College and studied directing at USC Film School.

The piece concerns four seemingly unrelated people are seen doing rather mundane everyday things (cooking, working). One by one, they discover an artistic rhythm to their activities, cumulating in a frenetic climax where lives intersect.
